Tame the Triple Threat: COVID, Flu, & RSV

COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are all currently circulating. Contracting one or more of these viruses could really knock you off your feet. Knock out this triple threat before it knocks you out. Your local hospital and health departments remind you to stay healthy and get vaccinated against all three viruses, if eligible.

Vaccination greatly reduces your chance of contending with these three heavyweight viruses. Vaccines are widely available at hospitals, pharmacies, local health departments, clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers and other locations in our regions.

Who should be vaccinated?

  • Flu: Everyone aged six months and older should get an updated flu vaccine. People aged 65 and older should get a high-dose or adjuvanted flu vaccine if available.
  • COVID-19: Everyone aged five years and older should get one dose of the updated Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to be up to date and protect against serious illness from COVID-19. Children aged six months to four years need multiple doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be up to date, including at least one dose of the updated vaccine. People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get additional doses of the updated COVID-19 vaccine.
  • RSV: Parents and expecting parents, talk to your doctor about the two different types of RSV immunizations to determine which option might be best for you and your baby. Adults ages 60 or over, talk to your doctor to see if RSV vaccine is right for you.
